Jeff Bezos filed to sell approximately 15 million Amazon shares worth about $4.07 billion, marking his second-largest single Form 144 filing by dollar value.
The filing, made through Morgan Stanley, follows Amazon reaching a $3 trillion market capitalization on August 3. This sale is Bezos's first major disposition since a previous program in mid-2025, which generated nearly $5.7 billion. The pre-arranged trading plan was adopted on November 14, 2025, under Rule 10b5-1, meaning the sale was scheduled months before Amazon hit the $3 trillion milestone. Amazon shares dropped more than 2% when markets opened on August 4 after the sale disclosure became public.
