Yahoo Finance analysis indicates that Shopify is poised to become the biggest winner in agentic AI commerce by simplifying billions of products into an AI-ready database through its Shopify Catalog and the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), co-developed with Google and others. The company saw a threefold year-over-year increase in AI-driven orders and traffic in Q2, and a 3.6x increase in the usage of its Sidekick AI assistant among merchants. Additionally, Shopify's Q2 revenue grew 34% year-over-year to $3.58 billion, surpassing analysts' expectations of $3.45 billion; Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) increased 32% year-over-year to $115.57 billion. The company anticipates revenue growth of approximately 30% and gross profit growth of 25% to 29% in Q3.
