Usana Health Sciences stock plunged 30% this week after Q2 results missed analyst estimates and company issued disappointing guidance
The company reported adjusted earnings of $0.07 per share on sales of approximately $223 million for the second quarter, falling $0.50 below analyst EPS estimates and $12 million short on revenue. Usana also announced a $29 million goodwill impairment charge on its Hiya business, leading to a revised full-year forecast of an $11 million loss, down from previous guidance of $20 million to $27 million profit. Full-year sales guidance was also lowered from $925 million-$1 billion to $910 million.
