Former Deputy Director of National Intelligence Karen Gibson stated that if President Trump declares the war with Iran over, it would signal he has abandoned the war's aims, including putting curbs on the Iranian nuclear program. Gibson added that even if Trump declares the war over, it will likely not move Iran's blockade on the Strait of Hormuz unless the US is prepared to give up its economic campaign as well.
