HKICL alerts public to fraudulent website mimicking FPS services to phish personal data
The Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited (HKICL) has identified a fraudulent website, kichkfips[.]com, which imitates its Faster Payment System (FPS) services, including "Buyer Online Protection." The site attempts to trick users into providing personal document numbers, ID photos, and phone numbers for "real name verification" to get cash rewards, and bank details for virtual wallet top-up and withdrawal. HKICL clarifies it has no affiliation with the site and does not directly provide FPS services to individuals, urging the public to be vigilant.
