Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin praised Poseidon hash and STARKs technology on X, stating that they offer immense value for Ethereum privacy protocols and ultra-fast general computation.
Vitalik Buterin stated that the Poseidon hash family, after years of effort, has provided immense real-world value in Ethereum and beyond, and will continue to do so in the coming years. They are crucial for the rapid generation of client-side SNARKs in modern privacy protocols. He also noted that the overhead for ultrafast general-purpose STARKs has decreased to the mid-three digits and is expected to drop to two digits or even lower soon, which is more astonishing than anticipated in the early 2020s.
