Brent crude rose 0.4% and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed 0.6% to $92 a barrel on Monday after the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy claimed responsibility for attacking several oil tankers and U.S.-linked vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict has heightened market concerns about inflation and diminished the near-term prospects for a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran.
