Galaxy Research reports that the Coldcard Bitcoin hardware wallet attacker has moved 45% of the stolen assets from the "third wave" of attacks, totaling 97.09 BTC (approximately $7.8 million at Monday's prices). The attacker previously exchanged some of the stolen Bitcoin for Ethereum via THORChain on September 2, and processed stolen Bitcoin through CoinJoin transactions on Sunday. As of mid-August, Galaxy had identified 190 victims and over 8,600 addresses from which approximately 1,779 BTC were stolen. The attacker also "co-spent" a previously unknown vault containing 58 addresses, bringing the total loss to 1,806 BTC (approximately $143.9 million at current prices).
