China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Information and Communication Industry," proposing to actively carry out pilot construction of 10-gigabit optical networks, gradually expand 10-gigabit network coverage, and promote the evolution of networks in urban and hotspot areas towards "dual 10-gigabit" capabilities, achieving peak download speeds of 10 gigabits and upload speeds of 1 gigabit in urban hotspot areas.
