Acciona has received approval from Peru's environmental authority to construct two high-voltage transmission lines in the country.
Spanish infrastructure company Acciona has secured environmental approval from Peru's General Directorate of Electricity Environmental Affairs (DGAAE), under the Ministry of Energy and Mines, to construct two high-voltage transmission line projects in Peru. These projects include the ITC 220kV Caclic-Jaén Norte transmission line and the 220kV Ica-Poroma transmission line, along with their associated substations, under a 30-year concession. The Caclic-Jaén Norte line is expected to strengthen the electricity grid in the Cajamarca and Amazonas regions, while the Ica-Poroma project aims to increase transmission capacity to meet current and future electricity demands, primarily from non-conventional renewable energy sources.
