Kraken Pro launches TWAP orders, allowing users to split large orders over a chosen time window
The new time-weighted average price (TWAP) order type on Kraken Pro enables users to break down a single large order into smaller child orders, which are then executed over a user-defined period ranging from 1 minute to 7 days. This feature aims to help traders manage order size without significantly impacting market prices. It includes built-in controls such as capping parent order size against expected market volume, limiting child order deviation from the limit price, and enforcing minimum intervals between order actions. The service is available on Kraken Pro Web, Desktop, Mobile, and via API.
