Al Jazeera reports that the UK is expected to announce trade restrictions on Israeli illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank. Analysts believe this is the latest sign of a further deterioration in relations between the UK and Israel. UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband stated last week that measures would be introduced to prevent British involvement in Israeli settlement projects in the occupied Palestinian territories, in response to the escalating violence against Palestinians.
