Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR), a U.S. electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft manufacturer, saw its stock price rise by 24.6% in August, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data. This surge was primarily driven by the company's announcement of an agreement with Boeing to acquire three of Boeing's subsidiaries: Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu. In exchange, Boeing will receive a 16.5% stake in Archer upon completion of the transaction. Insitu, one of the acquired companies, is already profitable with approximately $200 million in annual sales, and is expected to positively impact Archer's sales and profit margins.
