A legal report published this week by Adalah, The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, alleges that Israeli universities employ a dual-track disciplinary system to target Palestinian students. The report, which documented over 130 inquiries from Palestinian students facing disciplinary proceedings across approximately 40 institutions since the October 2023 Gaza war, concludes that Palestinian students are subjected to an “administrative track” lacking standard procedural protections, while Jewish Israeli students receive “constitutional track” protections. The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, one of the institutions mentioned, dismissed the accusations as “baseless” on Wednesday, calling the report “part of a broader attempt to discredit Israeli academia and institutions.”
