Argentina's corn exports are projected to reach a record 10 million metric tons in August and September, fueled by a bumper harvest and robust international demand. This surge is attributed to buyers seeking alternatives to Ukrainian supplies disrupted by war and European crops affected by extreme heat. The country's 2025/26 harvest is estimated at 71.7 million tons, nearly 20% above the previous record. Gustavo Idigoras, head of the CIARA-CEC grains exporters chamber, noted that Argentine corn is highly competitive in price and volume, with demand from North African countries being a primary driver.
