EnergyPathways Appoints Jacobs for Licensing and Regulatory Services on UK MESH Project
The project, one of the UK's largest integrated energy storage initiatives, is planned for a capacity of 300MW/55GWh. It aims to combine Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) with natural gas and hydrogen storage to provide ultra-long duration energy storage exceeding 190 hours. The project targets an operational date of 2031 to support renewable energy integration and enhance grid resilience. Jacobs will be responsible for managing services including planning, Development Consent Order (DCO) strategy, environmental planning, technical coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
