An executive at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) stated on Wednesday at the APPEC oil conference in Singapore that Indian refineries have been operating at 105% to 108% of their capacity over the past six months. The executive added that MRPL would continue to operate above 100% capacity until March 2027. Currently, all Indian refiners are prioritizing diesel production to meet domestic demand and address the tight global supply of middle distillates.
