Blackstone confirmed that Nadeem Meghji, head of its global real estate business, has resigned, less than a year after he took sole charge of the unit. David Levine and Giovanni Cutaia have been appointed as co-heads. Meghji, who joined Blackstone in 2008 and was set to become the sole head of global real estate in 2025, reportedly left to spend more time with his family. Blackstone President Jonathan Gray stated that the firm's business has strong continuity and a deep bench of talent. Blackstone's real estate portfolio is valued at over $600 billion, and its $30.4 billion global real estate fund, closed in 2023, set a record as the largest drawdown fund in history.
