Analog Devices to Acquire Edge AI Chipmaker Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 Billion
The acquisition aims to integrate Alif's microcontrollers and fusion processors into Analog Devices' product portfolio, enhancing its "physical intelligence" capabilities in the industrial, data center infrastructure, defense, energy, robotics, digital health, and wearables markets. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust review. This marks Analog Devices' second major acquisition targeting AI-related markets this year.
