Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he will sue the Haaretz newspaper and its authors for a report published on Tuesday. The report claimed that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed warned Netanyahu of Hamas's plans for an offensive 10 days before the October 7, 2023 attacks. Netanyahu called the report "fabricated" and "false" in a statement on X on Wednesday, denying any such phone call and stating his call logs show no trace of it. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on the allegations, stating it does not comment on media speculation regarding conversations between government leaders. Netanyahu also claimed Palestinian political figure Muhammad Dahlan was responsible for the "false report," a claim Dahlan's representatives have rejected.
