German tech company Limetax has secured $41.9 million (€36 million) in funding to develop an intelligent platform for accounting and tax firms. The total funding round includes a €6 million pre-seed equity round led by Motive Partners, with additional support from Activant, Heliad, and angel investors including former German Finance Minister Christian Lindner. This is complemented by a €30 million acquisition financing facility provided by a consortium of German lenders. Limetax plans to use these funds to advance its platform development and establish partnerships with tax firms nationwide. Founded in January this year, the company's platform aims to coordinate specialized AI agents to manage administrative and routine functions such as bookkeeping, payroll services, and financial statement preparation.
