Crypto asset manager Bitwise announced Thursday that it will liquidate and close its spot Dogecoin (DOGE) exchange-traded fund (BWOW), approximately 10 months after its launch. The last day of trading for BWOW on the NYSE is expected to be Oct. 14. The firm stated it is optimizing its product range to meet evolving investor needs. BWOW generated about $3 million in daily trading volume during its launch week in November 2025 but has since failed to maintain significant activity, accumulating roughly $300 million in total trading volumes, which is significantly less than other altcoin crypto ETFs like Hyperliquid ($2.1 billion) and Zcash ($1.5 billion).
