Nscale, a UK-based AI data center startup, has appointed Fidji Simo, former executive at OpenAI, Meta, and Instacart, to its board of directors. Simo previously served as CEO of AGI Deployment (effectively the second-highest executive) at OpenAI and led Instacart's IPO in 2023. Nscale is expected to go public this autumn, following reports that the company is seeking to raise up to $3.5 billion in pre-IPO funding.
