NXP Semiconductors CEO: Company Positioning Itself as a "Physical AI" Leader, Expects Data Center Revenue to Reach $500 Million This Year
NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ:NXPI) CEO Rafael Sotomayor stated at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference that the company is combining security, functional safety, real-time processing, and reliability for intelligent edge systems in vehicles, factories, and infrastructure, which he termed "physical AI." He expects the company's data center business revenue to reach approximately $500 million this year, up from $200 million last year, and is poised to continue growing by about 20% next year.
