More than six months after Israel intensified its war on Lebanon, the displacement crisis is slowly solidifying. According to estimates by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), approximately 330,000 people remain displaced by Israeli attacks on Lebanon, down from a peak of over 1.2 million in April. However, humanitarian workers from the UNHCR warn that this drop should not be interpreted as a permanent resolution, as displacement patterns remain highly fluid due to the possibility of renewed attacks. Israel and Hezbollah have been fighting since October 2023, with Israel re-invading southern Lebanon and occupying over 50 villages, leading to more than 4,380 deaths.
