This data excludes major market participants such as VinFast, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, and Nissan. Despite the August decline, Vietnam's automotive market sales still grew 8% in the first eight months of 2026 to 193,898 units, driven by strong economic growth. GlobalData expects total light vehicle sales in Vietnam to grow 10% this year to 617,000 units, driven by continued economic growth and rising consumer demand.
