"Black swan" investor Mark Spitznagel supports Burry's warning about an AI bubble, but believes the timing is not yet right, predicting that the market will see "one truly massive, speculative, insane, euphoric rise" before a historic crash.
Mark Spitznagel, founder of Universa Investments, told Business Insider that Michael Burry is right to question the massive investments in AI chips and data centers, but he believes it's not yet time to exit. Spitznagel anticipates "a truly massive, speculative, insane, manic rally" before the market eventually turns, after which investors could face a crash "unlike anything they've seen in their lifetime." He believes the economy is "flipping," but there are no immediate triggers for a crash, so Burry "will be wrong on the timing."
