Bitcoin and Ethereum prices recover early Monday, defying growing Fed rate-hike expectations and over 11% oil surge from Middle East attacks
Bitcoin opened 0.6% lower at $76,806.19 before rising to $77,873.33 by 7:31 a.m. ET. Ethereum opened 2% lower at $2,475.82, then increased to $2,514.09. The CME Group's FedWatch tool shows an 86.5% chance of a rate hike this week, up from 69.4% on Friday. Global oil prices have climbed over 11% in the last five days following weekend attacks in the Middle East, including on a Saudi Arabian pipeline.
