BloombergNEF forecasts that U.S. data centers could add 15 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of natural gas demand by 2035, more than double its previous forecast. Gas is expected to supply 69% of new grid-connected data center power, with LNG exports adding further pressure. This surge in demand may require producers to add an extra 11 Bcf/d beyond planned output growth, potentially ending the era of cheap U.S. natural gas.
