AeroVironment shares rose 6% to $155.22 midday Monday, continuing a recovery after the defense contractor reported record fiscal first-quarter revenue of $480.5 million and a $1.5 billion funded backlog (up 37% year-over-year) earlier this month. The company's performance outpaced its drone peers Ondas (ONDS) and Red Cat (RCAT), which saw only minor gains or declines, and the REX Drone ETF (DRNZ), which was up just 0.4%. Despite the rally, AVAV remains 36% below its year-start price.
