Apple has officially rolled out iOS 27, with the next-generation Siri AI entering public beta, capable of understanding context and performing cross-app tasks.
On Monday, September 14, Eastern Time, Apple officially rolled out multiple system updates to users, including iOS 27 and macOS 27. The biggest highlight is the new generation of Siri AI finally entering public beta. The new Siri, powered by Apple Intelligence and integrated with Google's Gemini model capabilities, aims to transform from a voice assistant into an AI operational entry point. It will begin to understand users' personal context, screen content, and cross-app tasks, and attempt to complete actions directly for users. Currently, Siri AI only supports English, with other languages planned to be added incrementally starting in October. Furthermore, the full AI capabilities are only available for new devices that support Apple Intelligence, such as the iPhone 15 Pro and newer models.
