HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, HD Hyundai’s shipbuilding intermediate holding company, received approval in principle (AIP) from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for its sea power plant. The certification covers core technologies for the company’s proprietary design, including basic design, single-line diagrams and stability analysis. The plant uses a medium-sized engine and is being developed as HD Hyundai expands into the power infrastructure market.
