The Iran war has cost approximately $33.4 billion as of June 29, according to a report submitted to Congress by the U.S. Department of Defense on Monday. Of this, Iranian attacks caused $184 million in physical damage to U.S. diplomatic facilities in four Middle Eastern countries: Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The report also stated that Iranian attacks have damaged or destroyed "hundreds of buildings and structures" at U.S. bases in the Middle East, as well as "dozens" of U.S. aircraft, including one F-35A, four F-15E fighter jets, and one A-10 attack aircraft. Ammunition consumption during the conflict has also led to "strategic inventory shortfalls and industrial base bottlenecks for ammunition resupply."
