Samsung Electronics and Verizon have tested artificial intelligence-powered integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) technology, turning mobile networks into real-time crowd sensors. This potential 6G application was demonstrated in a live environment at a major international soccer fan event in Dallas in July. Samsung stated this was the industry's first AI-based ISAC field trial conducted over a virtualized radio access network.
