Israeli newspaper *Haaretz* revealed that in the weeks following the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, a group of Israeli influence experts and political consultants secretly planned a propaganda campaign targeting Qatar. The campaign aimed to pressure Qatar into influencing Hamas to release the hostages. Reportedly, about 30 people participated in the project, including political consultants, influence operation and psychological warfare experts, and even a former Mossad official. The campaign was abruptly halted about a month after its launch.
