Egypt's el-Sisi rejects displacement of Palestinians from Gaza
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi firmly rejected any plans for Palestinian displacement, following comments by Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz. Katz had stated the army would “finish the job” in Gaza to “implement the migration plan,” and that Israel was ready to remove Palestinians from Gaza by sea and land. El-Sisi made his remarks during a visit by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday, stressing Egypt’s firm stance against such actions. US Ambassador Mike Huckabee has denied any plan to “displace people out of Gaza against their will.”
