Israel shelled Chaqra in the Bint Jbeil district of Nabatieh province, injuring two people who were hospitalized, Lebanon's National News Agency reported on Friday. The Israeli army also fired shells at the outskirts of Wadi Nahla and withdrew from the outskirts of Deir Mimas in Marjayoun, after advancing towards the town's entrance and confronting the Lebanese army. In addition, Israeli forces attacked al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, and set fire to the public hospital in Meiss el-Jabal. Israel has occupied parts of southern Lebanon since conflicts with Hezbollah erupted in March this year. Under a framework agreement reached in June, the Lebanese army is supposed to gradually take control of the area.
