CNBC host Cramer expects a relatively calm week on Wall Street, but September has historically been tough.
CNBC host Jim Cramer said on Friday that investors could be in for a relatively calm period next week as Wall Street navigates a historically difficult September. He noted that this week, the Dow fell 1.7% due to the Federal Reserve's 25-basis-point rate hike, the S&P 500 dropped 0.1%, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.7% as investors returned to AI trades after an early-week sell-off. Cramer believes the most important corporate event next week is cybersecurity firm Okta's analyst day on Wednesday, where Okta CEO Todd McKinnon will explain how its identity security technology can extend to AI agents. He will also be watching earnings reports from KB Home, Cintas, Paychex, General Mills, and Darden Restaurants, and will be paying attention to Costco's retention of younger members.
