North Korea's Foreign Ministry on Saturday rejected a resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) criticizing its nuclear weapons program, stating that its status as a nuclear power is irreversible and that it possesses nuclear deterrence. Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, also accused the IAEA of "biased views and double standards," claiming it turned a blind eye to the "blatant nuclear proliferation activities" of the U.S. and South Korea while forcing through a resolution against North Korea's "self-defensive and legitimate nuclear activities."
