Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told Al Jazeera in an exclusive interview on Saturday that Tehran has conveyed a formal set of conditions to Washington through Qatari mediators. These conditions include an end to the war on all fronts, the release of frozen funds, and an end to the naval blockade. Rezaei emphasized that Iran is prepared for a decisive war if its conditions are not met, and warned that a new US strike against Iran is “very much on the cards.” He also noted that Iran’s military planning has shifted to focus on US naval assets and that Iran recently test-fired a multi-warhead antiship missile near a US vessel.
