Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet cautioned cryptocurrency holders about the sophisticated DarkSword iOS exploit chain, which can compromise an iPhone via a malicious Safari browser page, potentially leading to crypto loss. Google Threat Intelligence Group disclosed the vulnerability in March, noting it has been exploited since at least November 2025, targeting users in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, and Ukraine. The flaws have since been fixed in iOS 26.3, and Apple continues to release security updates. Guillemet advised users not to store cryptocurrency seed phrases or sensitive wallet information on iPhones and to update their iOS devices.
