DataTrek analyst notes S&P 500 companies' AI mentions stagnated since end of last year, as CEOs are wary of discussing AI with investors due to lack of immediate financial results
DataTrek co-founder Nicholas Colas, citing FactSet's analysis of Q2 earnings calls, found that while about two-thirds of S&P 500 companies mentioned AI, the number of companies discussing the technology has essentially stagnated since late last year. Colas suggests executives are hesitant to bring up AI with investors as it has yet to translate into financial results.
