FutureBit has simulated Bitcoin mining using a fruit fly brain and claims that real neurons could achieve 10 times the efficiency of existing ASICs.
Hardware manufacturer FutureBit demonstrated HashFly, simulating 2,914 neural pathways for Bitcoin hashing. The company stated that if this technology could be scaled to real organic neurons, its efficiency could reach approximately 1 watt per terahash, which is 10 times more efficient than the best current 3nm ASIC miners. Currently, this experiment still runs on traditional computer hardware and cannot compete with existing Bitcoin miners.
