Institutional investors including BlackRock, Capital Group, and Schroders are reportedly participating in the IPO of GCash's parent company in the Philippines, with pricing below the top end of the range.
Investors including BlackRock, Capital Group, and Schroders are set to participate in the initial public offering (IPO) of Mynt Inc., the parent company of the Philippines' top mobile wallet GCash, according to sources familiar with the matter. The company has informed investors that the IPO pricing is expected to be below the maximum price. Mynt Inc. plans to raise approximately 60 billion Philippine pesos (about $957 million) through the IPO, selling 9.23 billion shares at around 6.50 pesos per share, which is lower than the maximum price of 10 pesos announced when it filed for the IPO in June. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, is also among the 20 cornerstone investors and is expected to subscribe to about 70% of the shares.
