Binance acquires Circle stake for $100 million, renews USDC partnership.
A U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing shows that Circle sold 1,237,011 shares to Binance at a price of $80.84 per share, a 5% discount to the closing price on September 17. Additionally, the two parties agreed to renew an agreement under which Circle will continue to pay Binance a monthly fee tied to USDC balances.
