Binance Research reports that perpetual contracts linked to real-world assets (RWA) are capturing trading demand around macro events and individual stocks outside of regular U.S. trading hours. Data shows that following the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision, the median of 16 stock-linked perpetual contracts captured 97% of the subsequent U.S. market opening gap, with off-hours trading volume reaching $1.02 billion. Additionally, during the S&P rebalancing market closure, 198 TradFi-linked perpetual contracts recorded a trading volume of $7.25 billion.
