Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa addressed the United Nations General Assembly, calling for Israel to withdraw from internationally recognized Syrian territory and condemning Israeli actions for undermining Syria's security and postwar reconstruction process. He said, "Israel is launching attacks against Syria. There have been 500 air strikes, more than 1,200 incursions, and 300 detentions." He also stressed that the Golan Heights "will remain Syrian territories."
