Aurora co-founder Alex Shevchenko stated that the attackers in the September 24 Bitget hack attempted to transfer over $50 million in stolen funds via NEAR Intents. Its SHIELD risk system detected these fund flows, with approximately $166,000 having passed through and about $503,000 frozen during execution, awaiting legal and recovery procedures. Shevchenko claimed that a total of approximately $387.5 million was stolen in the attack, with most cross-chain funds ultimately consolidated into ETH on Ethereum. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated that NEAR Intents has waived its share of the recovery bounty to allow Bitget to recover more of the stolen funds.
