According to Bitcoin Magazine, Utexo has opened early access to its Utexo Mint platform, allowing verified professional institutions to test USDT minting, confidential transfers, and redemption on Bitcoin via the RGB protocol before its public launch on November 28. Utexo stated that this move aims to reintroduce USD liquidity into the Bitcoin ecosystem, opening up new markets for trading and BTC-collateralized loans. The Utexo Mint platform will support professional institutions such as exchanges, wallets, market makers, OTC desks, and trading firms. USDT on Bitcoin is launched by Utexo, not Tether, and is designed with privacy in mind, allowing users to hold and transfer funds without publicly disclosing transaction details. The project plans a two-phase rollout: Phase one will publicly launch USDT on the Bitcoin network via RGB on November 28, and phase two is planned to extend USDT to the Lightning Network to support payments in Q1 2027.
