According to Fars News Agency, Iranian authorities have issued new regulations allowing individuals to purchase up to $10,000 from banks and currency exchange offices, with a daily limit of $1,000. Customers seeking smaller amounts of USD can purchase between $100 and $1,000 using bank cards and national ID cards. This move comes as sanctions put pressure on Iran's financial system, with the exchange rate at 262,000 Iranian Rials to $1 as of October 22, compared to approximately 135,000 Rials at the beginning of the year.
